Ece Demirayak was born in Adapazarı in 1994. She attended masterclasses in piano and music theory with Hüseyin Sermet, Gülsin Onay, Ivan Yanakov, Paul Brust, Hector Martinez Morales, and Metin Ülkü. Between 2016 and 2017, she worked regularly with Hüseyin Sermet and Toros Can. In 2017, she performed at the Bellapais Music Festival “Dream of Island Concert.” In the same year, she completed diploma programs in piano performance and piano pedagogy at the London College of Music, University of West London.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Television from Istanbul Bilgi University, she completed her master’s degree in Music and Performing Arts at Yıldız Technical University, studying piano, harmony, and Western music history.
She has taught piano in various institutions for more than nine years and continues her career through private lessons and workshops. She has participated in Orff Schulwerk and Kodály seminars and worked in early childhood music programs based on the Kindermusik approach.
She received storytelling training from Judith Liberman and therapeutic storytelling training from Susan Perrow. Her master’s thesis integrated psychology, storytelling, and piano education, forming the foundation of her interdisciplinary teaching model. She has published academic work and presented at international conferences. She continues her research and educational practice in interdisciplinary music education.
